Exercise #10: Take a shower with your eyes closed. Our routines can dull our brains, so stimulate new brain connections with this one! Brain neurobics.

Exercise #9: Keep extra food in your car or snacks in your purse. Be prepared for those in need instead of caught off guard. Carry water, blankets, food, and give relief.

Stewardship

Exercise #8: Pay your bills online and save paper. You can sign up for electronic banking and statements for all your bills and payments. Check with the company.

Moderation

Exercise # 7: Make a budget. Differentiating wants and needs frees us from the control of money and impulse. Budgeting making us aware of our spending and what our true priorities are.

Humility

Exercise #6: Put flowers on a stranger's door. Unrecognized acts of kindess remind us why we should do them.

Respect

Exercise # 5: Make eye contact. Making eye contact may be the acceptance that someone needs that day. Connect with people who are often ignored.

Patience

Exercise #4: Wait in the longest checkout line. Testing your own patience allows us to be prepared for uncontrolled circumstances where we might need a lot of it. Free yourself from the chains of time and take the long way.

Grace

Exercise #3: Tip a bad server well. Grace is getting what isn't deserved. Some days you wish for it, so give it to someone else. Show someone that their performance isn't what their value depends on.

Diversity

Exercise #2: Attend an ethnic festival. Expand your horizons and learn about other cultures, a good representation of our individual uniqueness.

Compassion

Exercise #1: Donate interview clothes to your local shelter. Many jobless people are unprepared to enter the workforce. Giving nice clothes demonstrates compassion for those going through hard times. There are also many organizations to donate for this purpose, one being dressforsuccess.org
